A HOST of Renfrewshire businesses are hoping to taste success at the Scottish Italian Awards.
The event is a celebration of all things Italian, with a Scottish twist.
Open to all Italian restaurants in Scotland, there are a number of different categories, with the finalists being selected through a public vote.
Among those going for glory is Bridge of Weir business Amaretto, which is nominated in several categories, including Best Family-Owned Restaurant, Best Pasta, Best Pizzeria and Best Wine List.
Flying the flag for Paisley are La Banca, which is nominated for Best Family-Owned Restaurant, Best Pizzeria and Best Wine List, and Trattoria Genova, which hopes to scoop the Best Trattoria prize.
Rachel Lawson, director and general manager of La Banca, said: “It’s an honour to represent Paisley in these all Scotland finals and I would like to thank our customers for their loyal support in voting for us.
"Since we opened we have tried to be a positive contributor to the south side of Paisley and it’s great to know our local community is right behind us.”
The winners will be decided by an independent panel of judges and announced at a gala dinner in Glasgow this month.
