MODEL bus enthusiasts travelled through the ages at an annual exhibition in Bishopton on Sunday.

More than 200 guests converged on Bishopton Community Centre as buses past and present took centre stage.

Modellers from across the country showed off their skills, with miniature vehicles, scenery and landmarks created with incredible attention to detail.

As well as expertly-crafted models, guests were treated to tea, coffee and snacks, with a prize raffle also proving popular.

For the best modellers, there was a prize pot of £600 awarded equally across 31 different categories, including for the best repaint of a model and best scratch-build model.

Mick Claissie, area secretary of the Model Bus Federation, said he was impressed by the quality of content on offer.

He added: “As well as the modelling, it was a really great social day for all involved.

“This was our annual show, where we give modellers the chances to show off what they can do to members from around Scotland.

“We meet once a month in Bishopton, where we get together for a chat and a catch up.

“Anyone can join the Model Bus Federation. It only costs £25 a year and you get discounts on models and can join in all the social events.

“All are welcome to come along.”
