A WOMAN is being prosecuted for allegedly stealing lipstick.

Angela Nash, of Houston Street, Renfrew, is said to have swiped stock from Boots in the town’s Paisley Road on September 7.

The case against Nash, 34, called at Paisley Sheriff Court and was continued without plea until next month.

In a separate case a man is facing trial accused of stealing meat and a newspaper.

John McCrimmon, of Gryffe Grove, Bridge of Weir, is said to have swiped the items from The Co-op in Crosslee Crescent, Houston, on August 29.

A not guilty plea was entered on the 53-year-old’s behalf this week via a solicitor’s letter.

Sheriff Moira MacKenzie adjourned the case until February.
