The Met Office statement reads: “A deep depression will move eastwards across northern Scotland on Friday bringing widespread gales. Inland gusts of 50-60 mph are likely quite widely, with gusts of 70-80 mph in exposed locations across northwest Scotland.
High winds are forecast for Scotland tomorrow, particularly in the north and west. Please secure any items in your garden that could blow on to the tracks and delay trains. Our teams will be out today and overnight to prepare the network.
