A FAILURE of the electrical supply between Motherwell and Cumbernauld is set to cause disruption for commuters until noon.
Services from Milngavie to Cumbernauld via Motherwell will terminate at Motherwell, while services from Cumbernauld to Dalmuir via Motherwell will start at Motherwell.
ScotRail has requested replacement buses at Motherwell and Cumbernauld to run a bus shuttle service. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
Passengers with a SMART card may use it on the following services:
- First Buses between Motherwell and Airdrie
- McGills between Cumbernauld and Airdrie
Services between Glasgow Queen Street and Cumbernauld and between Dumbarton Central and Cumbernauld remain unaffected at present.
