IT’S been a busy few months for pupils at St Benedict’s High School who are now beginning to look forward to the Christmas holidays.
In October, over 40 senior students from the Linwood-based school attended the annual Skills Scotland Careers Fair at the SECC.
A whole host of Scottish and UK-wide businesses were in attendance as pupils explored the next steps beyond school.

Pupil feedback was very positive and the event raised awareness of the opportunities available to all with staff at the school feeling it was a very worthwhile trip.
S1 pupils were treated to a day with the Navy and Marines
At the other end of the school spectrum, S1 pupils attended a teambuilding event in September as they were put through their paces by the Navy and Marines.

Held at the On-X Leisure Centre, the aim of the event was to allow pupils to make new friendship groups in a bid to aid their transition from primary.
During the sessions, students developed their communication and decision making skills.
