INCLUSIVITY was the order of the day as the Lochwinnoch Golf Club played host to a Dementia Tea Dance on Saturday.
As part of the village’s continuing approach to ensure nobody affected by the illness feels isolated, sufferers, their families and carers enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment as they got into the Christmas spirit.
Guests were treated to fabulous food and delightful dancing and it was an inter-generational affair with school captains from Lochwinnoch Primary School also turning out.
And for Morag Thow, chair of the Dementia Friendly Steering Group, the afternoon was the perfect example of inclusivity.
She told The Gazette: “It was a wonderful event and we had such a fantastic time.
“It’s all about supporting people with dementia and their families.”
