A HOUSEBUILDING firm is coming to Santa’s rescue this year...by handing out ‘magic keys’ to Renfrewshire residents so that Mr Claus can make all of his scheduled deliveries on Christmas Eve.

The team at David Wilson Homes is helping the jolly man in the red suit deliver festive cheer to children whose houses do not have a chimney.

All properties at the firm’s Weirs Wynd development, in Brookfield, are chimney-free – leading to fears Santa won’t be able to drop off presents for all the good boys and girls.

However, David Wilson Homes is stepping in by giving kids who live at the development, as well as those in the surrounding area, the chance to visit the sales office anytime in the next few days to collect their special keys.

This will mean Santa will still be able to deliver seasonal magic, despite not using his traditional entrance way this Christmas Eve.

Estelle Sykes, sales director at David Wilson Homes, said: “We want to ensure that every child knows Santa can reach them this Christmas Eve, including the children who live in our new homes, which do not have chimneys.

“We are urging children to visit our sales office with their parents to pick up their special key before December 24 so that everyone can have a magical Christmas.”
