A MAN has plead guilty to stealing a mobile phone in a nightclub.
On Thursday, December 20, police were called to Faction in Paisley after a man was spotted on CCTV carrying out the theft.
Following enquiries, community police officers were able to identify the suspect and arrested him on Saturday, December 22.
He was also found to have a gold baby bangle on him, which officers suspect may have been stolen.
The man appeared in Paisley Sheriff Court on Christmas Eve where he admitted the theft of the phone. He has been remanded in custody awaiting sentence.
Inspector Tracy Harkins said: "When the man was arrested he was found in possession of a small gold baby bangle. We are keen to trace the owner of the bangle as we believe it may be stolen property."
If anyone is missing the item of jewellery, or knows someone who is, call 101 and ask for Police Constable Fiona Mair to be notified.
