RENFREWSHIRE residents who have been left confused by recent changes to bin collections can go online for some advice.
Late last year, new green bins were delivered to households across the area in a bid to boost recycling rates.
All plastic, cans and glass is to be placed in the new green bins, with paper and cardboard to be left in existing blue bins.

There has been no change to the brown bin collection, which continues to take place every fortnight. However, grey bins for general waste are now only being emptied once every three weeks, instead of the previous fortnightly collection – a move which has led to criticism of Renfrewshire Council amid concerns that some rubbish will be left to pile up before being collected.
