POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a road rage incident involving a motorist and three cyclists on the outskirts of Barrhead.
The altercation took place at the Hurlet, on Glasgow Road, shortly before 9am on Sunday.

A police spokesman said: “There cyclists and the vehicle were travelling on Glasgow Road, approaching the Hurlet, heading out of Barrhead. At the traffic lights, there has been an altercation between the driver of the vehicle and the cyclists.
“During the course of the incident, it has been alleged that an assault had taken place.
“We know there were other vehicles and we would be keen to hear from any persons that were in that vicinity at that time.”
Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to call officers on 101.
