The incident was originally believed to have occurred in Abernethy Drive, but officers have confirmed it was Clippens Road
A PENSIONER who died after being hit by a van in Linwood has been named.
George Wilkins, 84, was struck when crossing Clippens Road on Tuesday at around 4.45pm.
The elderly man had been rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but passed away despite the efforts of medical staff.

The driver of the Vauxhall Combo was uninjured.
