A WOMAN is being prosecuted for allegedly causing a rammy in a street and assaulting a child.

Pamela Duncan is said to have behaved in a threatening or abusive way in Unstead Place, Paisley, on April 29 last year.

Prosecutors claim she repeatedly shouted and acted aggressively, in breach of Section 38(1) of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010.

She is also said to have assaulted a girl, who is now 11 but was 10 at the time of the alleged attack, by grabbing her by the hair and pulling her to the ground, leaving her injured.

Duncan, of Bank Street, Paisley, was not present at Paisley Sheriff Court when the case against her called for the first time last week.

It was continued without plea for her solicitors to find out how she intends to plead.

Another court hearing is scheduled for later this month.
