"As a result, the focus of our searches moved to Lochwinnoch and I'm urging locals in and around the area to check their gardens, sheds, garages and outbuildings as soon as they can. Allan may have gone off the track into a village, so I would also ask you to check your dashcam.

"I would like to thank the public for their assistance and emphasis that our officers remain committed to finding him.

"If you have any knowledge of his current whereabouts or recognise his description and remember seeing him since around or after 3.15pm on Friday, 18 January, please get in touch a matter of urgency.
