BODYGUARD star Keeley Hawes has backed Renfrewshire actor Richard Madden to be a "phenomenal" James Bond.
The actress has thrown her support behind co-star Madden, who is among the names tipped to inherit the role from current 007 Daniel Craig.

Madden, from Elderslie, has shown a glimpse of his covert credentials in the part of David Budd, who was seen unravelling a terrorist plot and showing calm under fire in Bodyguard.
Hawes, who played fictional Home Secretary Julia Montague in the hit BBC series, told Radio Times the former PACE Theatre Group actor could handle the long-running Bond franchise.

She added: "I said to Richard while we were shooting 'this is like James Bond.'
"I would love to see Richard playing James Bond, I would love that. I think he would be phenomenal."
