A GANG of thugs terrorised a man in his flat in a late night robbery.
The five men forced their way into the property in Orchard Street, Paisley, around 9.20pm on Thursday, leaving the 30-year-old victim badly shaken.
The louts made off with a three-figure sum of cash before escaping in a dark car.
The victim was unhurt and was able to raise the alarm when his tormentors left the area.
Detectives are now probing the incident and are carrying out door-to-door enquiries and checking CCTV in a bid to identify those behind the robbery.
They are also appealing for members of the public who may have information to come forward.
A police spokesperson added: "The men are believed to have been wearing dark clothing.
"Please call police on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 where information can be given anonymously."
