A PAISLEY man is facing trial accused of terrorising his ex over an 11-year period.

Martin Teggart is said to have hounded Joanne Black between October 2005 and August 2016.

Court papers allege he abused her at properties in Clarence Street, Love Street, Lochfield Road, Denewood Avenue, Shuttle Street and Grampian Avenue, as well as a property in Kilwinning, Ayrshire.

Teggart, 30, is said to have committed a breach of the peace by his actions towards Miss Black Between October 1, 2005, and December 12, 2010.

It’s claimed that, on a number of occasions, he repeatedly grabbed her by the hair, rained punches, kicks and pushes on her head and body, pinned her to the bed and ground and sat on top of her, behaved in an intimidating way, repeatedly shouted, swore and said abusive words and phrases to her and repeatedly monitored and controlled her movements.

And he faces a second charge of behaving in a way that caused her fear or alarm, between December 13, 2010, and August 26, 2016.

Teggart, of Baterholm Road, pleaded not guilty to both charges when he appeared in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court this week.

Sheriff Colin Pettigrew continued the case until later this month.
