LOCAL projects could be in with the chance of getting cash for their cause.

CALA Homes has recently launched a £5,000 bursary for charities, schools and community projects across Renfrewshire as part of its 2019 Community Bursary.

The initiative, which is now in its third year, aims to provide support for a wide range of organisations and projects within the communities in which CALA builds.

Since its launch, more than 200 projects across the country have received a share of more than £200,000.

Jim McIntyre, managing director at CALA Homes (West) said: “We’re thrilled to be continuing with our [scheme] in Renfrewshire.

“Charities in [the area] have previously benefitted from the scheme with donations made for projects ranging from Erskine Reid McEwan Activity Centre to young people’s charity Kibble.

“It provides an opportunity for groups of all sizes to apply for funds.”
