EAST Renfrewshire’s Citizens of the Year have been formally presented with their award.
The East Renfrewshire Council Provost Award was presented to Barrhead couple Paul and Ashley McIlvenny.
Paul and Ashley, who received their prize from Provost Jim Fletcher, are founders of the Include Me 2 Club, set up nearly 10 years ago to provide young people and adults with additional support needs with a safe space to enjoy music, sport and learn new skills.

Provost Fletcher said: “It was a real honour to present the 2018 award to Paul and Ashley and hear about the exciting future plans they have.
“We received a record number of nominations in for a variety of worthy people and this provided the panel with a tough task.
“However, when we read through the work the McIlvennys continue to put into the charity and the number of lives they have made a difference to, we were all in agreement they deserved the accolade.”
