A JOHNSTONE woman is being prosecuted over an alleged eight-month crime spree in her home town.

Chantelle Heron, 20, is said to have repeatedly broken the law between June last year and January this year.

Prosecutors claim Heron, of Maple Drive, behaved in a threatening or abusive way in Church Street on June 26 last year.

She is also said to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner at her home on August 7 last year by repeatedly striking a door, shouting, swearing and acting aggressively.

It is further claimed she assaulted Detective Constable Donald MacIntyre on the same occasion by spitting on his head.

On December 6 last year, at the Morrisons store in Napier Street, Johnstone, she is accused of stealing bedding and a toy.

And on January 1 this year, Heron is said to have wilfully or recklessly destroyed or damaged property by smashing the windscreen of a car by throwing a brick at it.

When the case called at Paisley Sheriff Court last week, Sheriff Seith Ireland continued proceedings until next month without plea to make sure she is aware of proceedings.
