HEATING problems at a Renfrew school are to to be addressed by Renfrewshire Council.
Complaints have been made about the heating system and air conditioning units in Trinity High School’s old ICT suite at parent council meetings.
And following pressure from Councillor Jane Strang, the council has invested £25,000 as it looks to tackle the issues.
Councillor Strang, who represents Renfrew North and Braehead, said: “Having regularly attended parent council meetings of Trinity High School, a subject that came up time and time again was the problems with the heating system within the school.
“This had gone on for too long and was harmful to the health and wellbeing of our youngsters.
“I am pleased that work is now set to take place this weekend in order to replace these outdated systems, which will be a significant maintenance boost to Trinity High.
“I hope these works will resolve the issues with the air conditioning units and heating systems once and for all at Trinity High.”
