A LINWOOD man is facing trial over claims he assaulted a primary school pupil.
Scott Paul Ingram is said to have attacked the nine-year-old boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, on March 4 last year.
Prosecutors claim 27-year-old Ingram lashed out at the boy in Portlethen, Erskine.
It is alleged he kicked the boy’s legs, causing him to fall to the ground.
The case against Ingram, of Asbury Court, called for the first time at Paisley Sheriff Court last week.
He was not present but a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf.
A trial has been scheduled for June, with a pre-trial hearing set for May.
