MORE than £1,000 was raised by a Barrhead Scout group as they held a coffee morning.
Members of the 3rd Barrhead Scouts put the kettle on and invited people to enjoy a cuppa, cakes and some warming soup.
Cubs, Beavers and Scouts donned their uniforms and neckerchiefs to welcome everyone in, as people of all ages enjoyed getting together for a natter.
A spokesman said: “Well done to the 3rd Barrhead Scouts, who raised £1,020 at their soup, cake and coffee morning.
“There was an amazing turnout, considering the weather. A massive thanks go to everyone who helped.”
