A JOHNSTONE man has denied hoarding child abuse images at his home.
Mark William Arthur Howie is said to have stashed illegal images at his flat in the town’s Collier Street.
Prosecutors claim 48-year-old Howie downloaded the cache of files between October 2013 and May 2018.
He is also said to have been in possession of the files between the same dates.
It is claimed he also set up a tablet computer in order to delete his internet history, in breach of a special bail condition imposed in a Glasgow Sheriff Court case.
Prosecutors claim that, between August 2015 and May last year, Howie was in possession of extreme porn showing sex between animals and humans.
The case called for the first time at Paisley Sheriff Court last month and was continued until this week for a further pre-trial hearing to take place.
This week’s hearing at the court could not proceed as planned, so the case was adjourned again.
Another pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for next month.
