A MAN was rushed to hospital after he was hit over the head with a cone during a street brawl.

The 33-year-old victim was attacked in George Street, Paisley, at around 9.35pm on Sunday and suffered cuts to the back of his head.

He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital but later released.

Police investigating the incident say the man was involved in a fight with a group of men and believe it was a man in his 40s who attacked the victim with the cone.

There is no description of the man, but cops say he was wearing a beige top.

Officers are currently scouring CCTV and are asking anyone with information to call them on 101.
