A CARE worker who sent pictures of his penis, videos of people having sex and false claims about having affairs with fellow staff to his colleagues has been struck off.

Russell Watson sent a string of vulgar messages to his colleagues vividly describing sexual encounters with female staff members, which never happened.

Between Christmas Day 2017, and March 31 last year, the former care worker, who was based at the Ranfurly Care Home in Johnstone, sent one colleague, known as GG, a picture of his erect penis and told her he'd "make her feel good".

He also told her the image could have been worse.

Watson falsely claimed to have had sex with three female colleagues, causing the women to feel violated.

He asked another colleague, CC, if she had become pregnant to him and said he fantasised about a different female colleague, FF, wearing a "red bra, panties, suspenders and stockings".

He also told CC he had had sex with a colleague, known as EE, falsely claiming she was "wild" and detailing sexual positions the pair had used despite never having sex with the woman.

After falsely claiming to have had a four year affair with a worker, known as DD, he told GG: "Just between you and me, I've just s******* her in an empty room ... she flashed me her big t***."

He also said the pair watched 50 Shades of Grey together and became so "s*****" up, he went to B&Q and bought "gaffer tape".

Watson was removed from the register by the Scottish Social Services Council.

It said: "Social service workers and other colleagues have the right to expect that they will be treated with dignity and respect.

"By sending inappropriate sexual messages and images to your colleagues and communicating with them in an inappropriate sexual manner you failed to treat your colleagues with dignity and respect.

"Your behaviour caused emotional harm to colleagues in that you caused them discomfort and offence ... Messages of a sexual and dishonest nature fall far below what is expected of someone within the social services sector."

May Prentice, Regional Operations Manager, (Scotland) Silverline Care, said: "Mr Watson was suspended on April 5 and dismissed on April 27, 2018 in accordance with our internal procedures.

"Mr Watson did not meet the standards that we expect from our staff and the SSSC decision reiterates our findings.

"Silverline Care is committed to providing the highest standard of care for our residents and safe environments for our staff to work and thrive.

"The dignity and respect of our residents and staff is our utmost concern."
