Cops arrest man found wandering street in only a towel
A MAN who allegedly tried to rob a Renfrew shop at knifepoint has been arrested...after he was spotted wandering the streets wearing only a towel.
Cops rushed to the town’s Sunart Avenue at around 8am today after residents reported the unusual sighting.
Officers detained a man at the scene and later linked him to an alleged armed robbery bid at the J&D Lifestyle shop in Paisley Road, Renfrew.
Police have confirmed that a 29-year-old man is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court tomorrow.
