Man accused of starting rammy in street
A MAN is being prosecuted for allegedly causing a rammy in a street while armed with a broken glass bottle.
John McNeil, 31, is said to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner in George Street, Paisley.
Prosecutors claim he shouted, threatened violence and brandished a broken bottle on April 27 last year.
The case called for the first time at Paisley Sheriff Court last week but McNeil was not present.
Proceedings were continued without plea until next month, to check he is aware of the prosecution against him.
McNeil, of Wardrop Street, Paisley, is ordained to appear at next month’s hearing.
