A MAN is facing trial accused of being caught in possession of three different types of drug at a flat in Johnstone.
John Scott Winters is said to have been busted with the illegal haul at a flat in Graham Street on May 18 last year.
Prosecutors claim 25-year-old Winters had class-A and class-C drugs in his possession.
He is said to have been caught with heroin, alprazolam and diazepam, which is more commonly known as Valium.
Winters was not present when the case against him called for the first time at Paisley Sheriff Court.
Defence solicitor advocate Robert Kerr appeared for Winters and entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.
Sheriff James Spy then adjourned the case until May for the trial to take place, also scheduling a pre-trial hearing for April.
And, at last week’s pre-trial hearing, the case was adjourned for the trial to take place after prosecutors Claire Rowan and defence solicitor Gemma Elder said both the prosecution and defence were ready for proceedings to begin.
