GLASGOW Airport has reopened following a security alert on board an inbound Easyjet flight from Gatwick.
All flights were suspended temporarily after crew on the aircraft alerted Police Scotland at 10.25am on Tuesday.
A Glasgow Airport spokesman confirmed the incident had been stood down and the runway reopened at 10.55am.
The spokesman said: “There was a security alert on board an inbound easyJet flight from Gatwick as it landed at 10.25am.
“Emergency services attended and the incident has now been stood down.
“Operation were down for 20 minutes, but are now fully operational.
“No flights were cancelled.”
Some passengers said they were stuck on the runway for almost an hour.
