POLICE investigating an armed robbery in Johnstone have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.
As previously reported in The Gazette, a brave shop assistant was pounced upon by a thug armed with a knife and dog lead at the Day-Today store in Thornhill.
The crook demanded cash before making off with £200 and a haul of cigarettes.

The victim was left badly shaken by his ordeal, which took place at around 7.15am on Monday, November 12, 2018, but found the courage to return to work the next day.

The man pictured may be able to assist with this investigation and anyone who recognises him is asked to come forward.
He is described as white, between 25 and 29 years old, of medium build, and wearing a grey hooded top and glasses.
Anyone with information is asked to phone police on 101.
