THREE people have been arrested in connection with an attack on a night porter at a hotel in Renfrew. 

Police say the trio stormed into the Travelodge, in King's Inch Road, at around 12.50am this morning before assaulting the alleged 43-year-old victim.

They are alleged to have punched and kicked the man, making off with his phone and a quantity of alcohol. 

Police say they were later apprehended and the man's possessions were returned to him.

Two women and a man, all aged 27, were arrested in connection with the incident and are due to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court tomorrow.
