POLICE have charged a man in connection with a number of fires that took place in Houston.
The 21-year-old man is suspected of deliberately starting fires at the village’s Co-op store, Paul’s Fast Food and Houston Primary School.
Each of these incidents took place last year.

Inspector Jim Cast, who is based at Johnstone Police Office, said the man was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court yesterday.
He added: “There has been an extensive investigation into these incidents, which has resulted in this arrest.”
