Man arrested for allegedly breaking into abandoned petrol station
A MAN has been arrested after he was found by cops allegedly trying to steal from an abandoned petrol station.
Officers were called to the old Benston Service Station on Beith Road, in Johnstone, at around 3.50pm yesterday following reports of a group of men accessing the site.
Once they arrived, the suspects are said to have fled but one man was caught by officers.
The 48-year-old was arrested and is due to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.
