A MAN has been charged after allegedly threatening police with a knife in Renfrew last night.
Police sealed off High Street for a number of hours following the incident at around 10.10pm.
Cops were called to a flat where, on arrival, a 33-year-old man was said to have threatened them with a blade.

The man was contained within the flat for safety, and a number of officers were brought in to deal with the situation.
The man then complied with police and was removed from the flat before being taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for assessment. He has since been discharged.
The man has now been charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
No one was injured during the incident.
