PUPILS at a Johnstone school were jumping for joy as they explored a whole host of new play equipment.

The fun additions to Fordbank Primary were donated by Paisley-based youth organisation Kibble after the two institutions struck up a special partnership.

Kibble regularly works with pupils to teach them practical skills such as bike maintenance.

And, supported by a grant from Glasgow Airport’s FlightPath Fund, young people at Kibble decided to build an outdoor classroom, pirate ship and other equipment at Fordbank Primary.

Headteacher Carol McCormick said: “This has been an ongoing development over the past couple of years and we are very thankful to Kibble. The children love the new equipment.

“I hope this is the first of many developments.

“The pupils are outside a lot and we believe that outside learning is really important.”
