AN investigation has been launched after a bin was deliberately set alight in Johnstone.
The incident happened at around 6.50am on Sunday when a wheelie bin was set on fire at the back of a house in Corseford Avenue.
The bin was stood up against some fencing, which was damaged by the flames.
Scottish Fire and Rescue attended and the fire was extinguished.
Police have confirmed it is being treated as wilful fireraising and enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone with information is being asked to call 101.
