A JOHNSTONE man is facing trial after he was allegedly caught with class-A drugs.

Anthony Banaghan, 36, of Cartside Avenue, is said to have been in possession of heroin with intent to supply on December 14 last year.

When the case against Banaghan called for the first time at Paisley Sheriff Court, a plea of not guilty was submitted on his behalf.

A trial has been set for September, with a pre-trial hearing scheduled for August.
