A JOHNSTONE woman narrowly missed out in her bid to be crowned this year’s Miss Scotland.
Nadia Bella Allan battled it out against 17 other hopefuls from across the country in a bid to claim the gong.
However, she was pipped at the post by Edinburgh woman Keryn Matthew at a glitzy showpiece final on Saturday.

Nadia, 20, spent most of her childhood in Johnstone but, after her dad died suddenly, decided to leave school and now lives in Paisley.
At a difficult time in her life, Barnardo’s was there to help her and it’s a cause she has kept close to her heart, recently being named as an ambassador for the charity.

Keryn, 24, takes over as Miss Scotland from 2018 winner Linzi McLelland.
