A MAN has been charged with wasting police time after officers were asked to investigate claims of a robbery.
Police had issued an appeal for help on Sunday, saying a 43-year-old delivery driver had been robbed at knife-point of a two-figure sum of cash in Luckinsford Avenue, Inchinnan.

They said the driver had been left badly shaken by the robbery, which was said to have taken place at around 9pm the previous night.

However, less than two hours later, cops confirmed no crime had taken place and the man was charged with wasting police time.
A report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
