COPS are on the hunt for crook who pounced on a man outside a funeral directors in the early hours of the morning. 

The 29-year-old victim was approached from behind by another man outside the Co-op Funeralcare in Lady Lane, Paisley, on Saturday. 

The terrified man was threatened with a knife and told to hand over money. He refused but the crook still made off with his mobile phone.

The man responsible, who is described as having short hair, wearing a tracksuit and a scarf covering the lower half of his face, then made off on a distinctive orange bike towards George Street at around 5.30am. 

Detective Constable Heather Strathearn, of Paisley CID, is appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed the robbery to get in touch.
