TWO lorries have been left burnt out after an early morning blaze in Renfrew.

As previously reported by The Gazette, fire crews were on the scene at Meadowside Street after reports of several vehicles on fire at around 12.48am.

Four appliances and an aerial unit were deployed.

It has been reported that the 'explosion' could be heard as far as Glasgow city centre.

The 'explosion' was the two lorries and two trucks that had caught fire, and thereafter caused a nearby roof to go up in flames.
