POLICE believe a mystery woman may prove crucial as they continue to probe the death of a man who fell from the Erskine Bridge.
An unidentified body was pulled from the River Clyde near the bridge on Monday morning by the Coastguard and he was announced dead on arrival at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in Glasgow.
The bridge was closed while emergency services attended the scene after being alerted to the man's fall at around 11am.
Officers have now launched an investigation into the cause of the man's death and say a woman was spotted walking with a suitcase in the area at the time of the incident.
