KIND-HEARTED schoolchildren dug deep as they donated to fundraising efforts to rebuild a village park.
Members of Elderslie Community Council were over the moon to receive a cheque for £240.99 from Wallace Primary kids towards their Queen’s Road Park fund.
The pupils raised the cash by holding a non-uniform day.

The community council has developed plans to breathe new life into the facility and hopes to turn it into a fully inclusive area with numerous play opportunities for children.
The donation takes the running total up to £11,537, with a grant from Renfrewshire Council worth £50,000 still to be added.

The community council has created an artist’s impression of how the new park could look, but it will need a pot of £94,000.
Community councillor Linda MacMillan added: “We’re so grateful for the support of the school and children.”
