A NEW adventure trail for youngsters at a Neilston school has taken a leap closer, thanks to a housebuilder’s donation.
Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has given £500 to St Thomas’ Primary as part of its commitment to working in partnership with local communities.
The money provides a boost to the school’s parent council, which is fundraising to make substantial improvements to the adventure trail and outdoor play area.
Ian Gillies, headteacher, said: “We are extremely grateful for the support we have received from Taylor Wimpey.
“Our parent council fundraising committee is working tirelessly to raise the much-needed funds to create a better adventure trail and outdoor experience for our children to enjoy.”
Kirsty McGill, head of sales at the company, which is behind the Kirkton View housing development in Neilston, said
: “Being able to work with local businesses and organisations that surround our developments means a great deal to us.”
