SNP candidate Mhairi Black said she is hitting the campaign trail hard in the final week in the hope of getting people behind her party.

The Paisley and Renfrewshire South candidate says Scotland must have the chance to choose escaping Brexit and putting its future in the hands of its people.

And she hopes her record in Parliament so far will encourage people to choose her to fight against Brexit.

Ms Black said: “We’re into the final stretch of the campaign now. There is just one week of campaigning left before we hit the polls.

“We’re focussed on hitting as many doors as we can. There’s lots of campaign sessions scheduled for every day until December 12, including our last Super Saturday event coming up this Saturday.

“There’s lots to do, so if you’d like to help out, please feel free to join us at any of the sessions, the details of which are at mhairiblack.scot/campaign-stops.

“Last Saturday I was officially adopted as the SNP candidate for Paisley and Renfrewshire South. We had a fantastic do. I want to take this opportunity to say thanks to everybody who came.
