KIND-hearted staff from Morrisons in Johnstone have shown they are full of Christmas spirit after donating toiletry hampers to a Renfrewshire hospice.
The team made up the hampers for St Vincent’s Hospice, in Howwood, and included the likes of luxury soaps, shower gels, lotions and more.
Having had a long history of supporting the hospice - with the team donating decorative baskets and tubs for the community garden recently - it made sense to put smiles on patients’ faces for the festive season.
And not wanting to forget all the staff who work tirelessly throughout the year, the Morrisons team also provided tea, coffee and biscuits to keep them fuelled through the Christmas period.
St Vincent’s is a specialist provider of palliative care, with dedicated staff supporting individuals and families in the community who have been affected by life-limiting conditions including cancer, motor neurone disease (MND), heart failure and many others.
The hospice also delivers a children and young persons service, offering pre and post bereavement care to kids who are facing challenges due to the loss of a relative or close friend.
Senior fundraiser for the hospice, Louise Strachan, said: “We are so grateful to Morrisons for these beautiful gifts this Christmas and all of their support over the years.
“As a local charity, at the heart of the Renfrewshire community, it is only through acts of kindness and generosity just like this that so much of what we do is possible.
“On behalf of all of us at St Vincent’s, thank-you and a Merry Christmas.”
