A DATE has been set for a public meeting as campaigners step up a bid to make Johnstone ‘dementia friendly.’
Johnstone Town Hall will host the event to promote the work of the Johnstone Dementia Friendly Community group (JDFC).
Organisers are inviting business leaders and local residents to show their support as the group outlines its vision for the town.

Founder Karen McShane previously told The Gazette: “We can do more to help. People shouldn’t have to apologise or be embarrassed about the way they or others act because of the illness.”
The meeting takes place on Thursday, February 20, from 7pm, and is free to attend.
We'll have more on the plans to make Johnstone Dementia Friendly in the coming weeks.
