BLADE-WIELDING thugs left a man in hospital after pouncing on him in a Renfrewshire street.
The 49-year-old victim suffered multiple stab wounds in his body and arms following the shocking incident on Sunday evening.
Police say he was approached by a gang of five men in Stock Street, Paisley, at around 5pm, who then attacked with weapons, which officers believe to have included knives.

The victim was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he received treatment for his wounds before later being released.
A police spokesperson said: "This attack took place in a busy area of Paisley during the day, so we are appealing for any eye-witnesses to come forward."
