A WORTHY cause in Renfrewshire will soon be on a real high, courtesy of Glasgow Airport’s FlightPath Fund.

To celebrate 10 years of the fund, local groups are invited to apply for cash to support environmentally-friendly projects.

A £10,000 grant will be made available to a project based in Renfrewshire, with the same level of funding also on offer to good causes in Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire and West Dunbartonshire.

Mark Johnston, Glasgow Airport’s managing director, said: “The fund was set up in 2010 to help support our neighbouring communities so they could share in our success.

“The FlightPath Fund committee’s decision to introduce a £40,000 Sustainable Communities Challenge supports Glasgow Airport’s continued commitment to balance the clear social and economic benefits we bring as one of the region’s biggest employers with our climate change responsibilities.”
